SITUATION:CRITICAL

Critical Thinking is, well... Critical

The foundational problem in the world today, particularly among our youth, is the lack of ability to think critically - to question, and in questioning, to THINK why, what and how.

Critical Thinking is a learned skill which begins by effectively questioning what we are being told by the mainstream media, by social media, by politicians, by self-serving parties, by anyone! In other words, we need to be taught how to properly question the information, misinformation and propaganda we are deluged with every minute of every day.

Following the thorough and objective questioning (research), critical thinkers then carefully analyze what they have found out — and then choose a course of action.

Regretfully, NC schools are not only not teaching children how to be Critical Thinkers, but they are communicating the direct opposite — that they should be conformists. The conformist message is: adhere to what is currently politically correct, go along with consensus views, defer to authority, accept computer projections, etc.

The hidden message in all of these positions is:

“Someone else more qualified than you has already done the thinking on this subject,

so don’t bother giving it any thought. Move on.”

And, perhaps, most importantly, we should all ask ourselves why are they all trying so hard to get us to accept as fact: America is and has always been a horrible country run by bad, racist and misogynistic people; that there are any number of genders; that suddenly thousands upon thousands of boys and girls are in the wrong bodies and that they should chemically and surgically “fix” themselves - and that they should do it now because the world is on the very precipice of a global climate catastrophe?

All while a real catastrophe is currently in full effect, that of an entire generation (or two or three) that hasn’t been taught how to think critically about any of this.

They’ve been instead programmed to simply accept it all rather than to figure out for themselves

fact from fiction

and

manipulation from education.

The most vulnerable among us, our school-age children are being groomed, manipulated, and harmed in pursuit of future political power and ideological oppression.

This has to stop. Now.

Beginning NOW we must teach our children how to think critically. How to make sense of their ever more confusing world.

For Michele Morrow Critical Thinking Education is a top priority.

“If we aren’t teaching our children how to think for themselves, we are failing them in the worst possible way. And failing our country in the process.” says Michele Morrow.

Currently there is no viable critical thinking curriculum in our schools. This has to change.

With Morrow as Superintendent of Public Instruction we will see a shift in education from creating a generation of sheep to a generation of free thinkers, innovators and problem solvers who can overcome the obstacles the world throws at them - and succeed for themselves and society as a whole.

Vote Michele Morrow for Superintendent of Public Instruction

“To save man from the morass of propaganda, in my opinion, is one of the chief aims of education. Education must enable one to sift and weigh evidence, to discern the true from the false, the real from the unreal, and the facts from the fiction. The function of education, therefore, is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.”
